our committee decided to provide some relief for the folks starving for some live jazz.
This year's event is an "experiment", with many changes from previous years:
One venue, the GREAT LAWN, with usual dance floor, concert seating, or bring your own chairs.
Table seating available for a small fee. Bring your own snacks/picnic, wine available by the bottle.
We expect to offer online streaming for those who can't attend in person.
Proof of vaccination will be required, and of course the event will follow CDC and local guidelines.
Check back to this page in the next few weeks, as our committee works out many details.

One of the not-so-well kept secrets in our little world of old-time jazz is this laid-back fine time in the wine country north of San Francisco. The setting and facilities at the Cline Cellars Winery are perfect for a summer afternoon, listening or dancing to many of the San Francisco Bay Area's finest Dixieland/Ragtime/Blues musicians at the winery. Attendance had grown over the first twenty-three years to over 1000 jazz and wine enthusiasts. The Covid situation requires a severe scaledown in 2021, reservations may be limited. This event is actually a reincarnation of the old Oakley Wine & Jazz Festival, produced by Fred Cline and Ken Keeler from 1985-1990. The winery was then located in Oakley, just down the street from Ken's farm where grapes for Cline Cellars were grown. Musically speaking, this is a TRAD Jazz event, music from the 1890s to the early 1930s.
